NEWS: Toonami is officially back on 5/26/2012. Pigs fly.

I....I need a moment....*sniff sniff*

Four years after the sad cancellation of Cartoon Network’s Toonami programming block, and after multiple cries for it to be revived, including a huge April Fool’s day joke from the Adult Swim block, Toonami is officially coming back. In a tweet made today by Adult Swim they announced “Attention Toonami Faithful: We heard you. On 05.26.12#ToonamisBackBitches” along with a link to the image posted. This all comes after the immense response Adult Swim received after they decided to replace their normal programming with a full block of Toonami on April Fool’s day this year. The block was even complete with Tom, the robot host of the programming block, reviewing Mass Effect 3, a staple of the series. The BN-Games crew are big fans of Toonami, and are happy to see something like this pan out, especially after becoming avid viewers of Toonami revivalists over at Toonami Aftermath. Hopefully the block will be as good as we remember, and will pull in better ratings for the channel.

UPDATE: HOAX: RUMOR: Aperture Science buys out Black Mesa, forming Blapperture Mesa. Possible hint to Half Life: Ep 3 or other Steam game.

UPDATE 5-8-2012 (10:51pm PST):  Hoax confirmed, thanks for the traffic bro.  Nice work though, we commend the attempt to stir up the public.

Called us out directly!

UPDATE 5-8-2012 (10:46pm PST): So……the site is directly addressing us now. Though we are 99 percent sure it’s a hoax. We have found proof that the audio is officially in the latest update to Portal 2

Proof:

UPDATE 5-8-2012 (10:25pm PST):  It appears the site is changing by adding, removing, and changing items on the page every 30 minutes or so.  As of this update the image cap’d below was removed.  We’re leaning toward Hoax, but the Audio is solid.

While tunneling through the internetz (as we usually do in our downtime) we usually see many strange and fake things. We are almost positive this is not one of those things. A new website has been created under the URL http://www.blappeture.com/, which features a single logo stylized to represent the merging of Aperture Science and Black Mesa, the two main fictional science companies in Valve’s Portal and Half-Life series. Along with the logo, an audio clip of Cave Johnson announcing the purchase of Black Mesa can be heard. We have transcribed the audio below and have linked to the site so you can experience this for yourself

Now things are getting interesting. We will update as we find out more. (Note: we know this could very well be a hoax, but the voice recording which sounds incredibly similar to that of  J. K. Simmons leads us to hope otherwise)

Audio file included below in case the original is pulled or changed.

Here is the Music Player. You need to installl flash player to show this cool thing!

“Chariots Chariots (Fixed 10:54pm PST).  Cave Johnson, new owner and CEO of Black Mesa.  That’s right, you’ve been bought.  First order of business we’re renaming you under the Aperture Brand.  I’m leaning toward “Blappeture Mesa”.  Marketing boys think something else, so “Blappature” it is.  Next they tell me you people are conducting some anomalous materials research that could result in a resonance cascade, so i’m shutting that down before you idiots end the world.  A resonance cascade, you’re supposed to be scientists! Use some common sense.”
